Wiener Hofburg Dry 12,5% Vol. 0,75l
£7.98
This sparkling wine honours the historic Hofburg Palace in Vienna, which was built in the 13th century. Until 1918, when the Habsburgs resided there, the Hofburg served as their residence. Since 1946, when Austria entered a new political era, it has been the official residence of the Austrian Federal President.
The Hofburg not only houses a large, magnificent ballroom, but also several museums in which important works of art and historical artefacts are exhibited, as well as a large part of the Austrian National Library, which contains a large number of valuable books and manuscripts.
The sparkling wine is produced entirely in Austria and made according to the Méthode Traditionelle, which is renowned for its high quality and care. This traditional method of sparkling wine production ensures that every step of the process, from grape harvesting to bottle ageing, is carried out with the utmost precision and dedication. This gives the sparkling wine its unmistakable character, which is characterised by a fine perlage and complex aromas.
Tasting NoteBright, clear yellow with golden reflections in the glass. The sparkling wine enchants on the nose and palate with fine flavours of white apples and orange zest. A tingling finish.
