Ukiyo Japanese Blossom Gin is an extraordinary homage to the Japanese tradition of Hanami, the conscious experience of the sakura blossom. “Ukiyo” means “the floating world” and stands for a mindset that celebrates life in the moment – this gin perfectly captures this feeling with its floral elegance and gentle structure.
Produced in Kagoshima, under the imposing shadow of the active Sakurajima volcano, this gin is based on traditional Japanese shochu, a spirit distilled from rice. Re-distillation with carefully selected botanicals creates an exceptionally smooth gin that captures the essence of spring. Delicate cherry blossom notes lend it a gentle floral sweetness, while fresh citrus fruits and classic juniper provide balance and depth.
