Description
Tullibardine The Murray The Marquess is a single malt Scotch whisky from the Tullibardine distillery in the Scottish village of Blackford in Perthshire. The distillery was founded in 1949 on the site of a former brewery and has been producing whisky ever since. In 2003, the distillery was saved from closure when a team of independent investors led by former investment banker Michael Beamish took it over. Since then, the Tullibardine distillery has grown in success and won many awards for its whiskies.
Tullibardine The Murray The Marquess is the twelfth edition of the annual “The Marquess Collection”, which presents a limited bottling every year. This single malt whisky, which was distilled in 2008, first matured in first-fill ex-bourbon casks and then received a finish in three different port casks: White Port, Tawny Port and Ruby Port.
Tullibardine The Murray Triple Port was bottled in 2022 without chill filtration and without the addition of colouring at an alcohol content of 46% vol. This careful maturation and the additional ageing in the various port barrels give it a special complexity and depth that make it a unique bottling in the Marquess Collection.
