Description

Tullamore D.E.W. Irish Whiskey SQUARE is a classic blended Irish whiskey from Ireland, with an alcohol content of 40 per cent, available in a 0.7-litre bottle. A hallmark of Tullamore D.E.W. is the so-called ‘Triple Blend’ concept, in which grain whisky, malt whisky and pot still whisky are blended together. Grain whisky primarily contributes a smoother, sweeter base character, malt whisky adds the fruity notes, and pot still whisky provides additional body and spice. Added to this is the brand’s characteristic triple distillation, which contributes significantly to the smooth style of this well-known Irish whisky. The name ‘SQUARE’ refers to the distinctive shape of this variant’s bottle.

Tullamore D.E.W. Original also relies on a triple combination when it comes to maturation. The whisky is aged for several years in traditional refill casks, former bourbon casks and sherry casks, thereby blending different cask characteristics. The brand’s history now stretches back over 190 years and is closely linked to the Irish town of Tullamore. Today, Tullamore D.E.W. operates a large grain-to-glass distillery there, where the production stages – from milling and mashing through to fermentation and distillation, right through to maturation and bottling – all take place at a single site. The Tullamore D.E.W. Square 0.7 l thus combines a brand name steeped in tradition with the classic style of a versatile triple-blended Irish whiskey.

Tasting NoteColour: Golden yellow to amber.

Tullamore D.E.W. Irish Whiskey is versatile and can be served neat, on the rocks or as a base for long drinks and cocktails. A Tullamore Lemon & Lime, made with lemon-lime cordial and fresh lime, is particularly straightforward. This blended Irish whisky is also ideal for a classic Irish coffee.
