Tschermonegg Gelber Muskateller Südsteiermark DAC 2024 12,5% Vol. 0,75l

£11.35

The Tschermonegg Gelber Muskateller Südsteiermark DAC 2024 is a white wine full of character that reflects the soul of southern Styria with its aromatic clarity and animating lightness. The traditional Tschermonegg winery, located in Leutschach an der Weinstraße, is one of the most renowned wineries in the region. Surrounded by steep slopes and chalky soils, it produces precisely vinified DAC wines that combine terroir and grape variety at a high level.

Only 100% Gelber Muskateller is used for this vintage – a grape variety that finds ideal conditions in southern Styria. The vines are between 5 and 45 years old, which ensures a beautiful balance of youthful freshness and aromatic depth. The wine is matured for 6 to 8 months on the fine lees in stainless steel tanks, which gives it structure while retaining its floral aromas. Bottled with a practical screw cap, this wine is ideal for immediate consumption, but also has potential until 2028.

Tschermonegg Gelber Muskateller DAC 2024 stands for the combination of craftsmanship, nature and origin – a wine that will delight both beginners and connoisseurs alike.

Tasting NoteIn the glass, the Muskateller is a clear, radiant straw yellow colour that already hints at its youthful freshness. The nose reveals an intense, finely nuanced bouquet with notes of fragrant elderflower, juicy stone fruit and a hint of lemon balm. It is extra-dry on the palate, with a delicate play of acidity and delicate nutmeg flavours that are elegant and playful. The structure is light-footed and the flow is remarkably drinkable. The medium-length finish harmoniously rounds off the sensory experience.

Acidity: 5.8 g/l

Residual sugar: 2.2 g/l

Thanks to its aromatic freshness and elegant style, this Muscat is an ideal accompaniment to Asian cuisine, such as Vietnamese summer rolls, Thai curry with coconut or sushi with a lime and soya dip. It also shows its versatility in combination with asparagus dishes, goat’s cheese or light fish dishes. As an aperitif or terrace wine in summer temperatures, it offers maximum drinking pleasure and brings a South Styrian attitude to life into the glass.
