Tonka Gin 47% vol. in a 0.5-litre bottle is a unique premium gin that impresses with its extraordinary composition and history. It was developed by Daniel Soumikh, who came up with the idea of refining a gin with tonka beans while travelling through Spain. After a two-year development phase with bartenders and distilleries, Tonka Gin was released for the first time on 26 September 2014.
What makes this gin special is the use of over 23 carefully selected botanicals, which give it a multi-layered flavour profile. In addition to the classic juniper, the tonka bean takes centre stage, giving the gin its distinctive vanilla, almond and caramel notes. This combination ensures a harmonious balance between sweet, spicy and fresh notes. The square bottle is reminiscent of the Prohibition era in the USA (1919-1933), when this shape was particularly practical for smuggled goods.

Nose: Juniper, sweet vanilla notes, almond, cinnamon and a hint of orange peel.
Flavour: Smooth and complex, with clear notes of tonka bean, caramel, roasted almonds, juniper and exotic spices.
Finish: Langs and pleasantly warm, with a combination of sweet and spicy flavours and a fine citrus freshness.
Tonka Gin is ideal for creative gin & tonic variations – ideally with a mild tonic water that does not mask the subtle flavours. A garnish of orange zest or a vanilla pod enhances the unique notes of the tonka bean. It also provides an exceptional flavour experience in cocktails such as the Negroni or Gin Sour. It is an excellent culinary accompaniment to dark chocolate, almond desserts or flavoured cheeses.
