Description
The Togouchi Single Malt Japanese Whisky is a fascinating bottling from Chugoku Jozo, a Japanese producer known for its exceptional ageing methods and the marriage of tradition and innovation. Unlike many other Togouchi bottlings, which often appear as blends, this is a true single malt, made entirely from malted barley and distilled and matured in Japan.
Its maturation location gives this whisky a special aura: the casks are stored in an old railway tunnel near Hiroshima, where constant temperatures and high humidity create a particularly even and controlled maturing climate. These conditions ensure a harmonious, gentle yet expressive flavour profile, which is characterised by fine woody notes and fruity nuances.
Bottled at 43% alcohol by volume and presented in a stylish gift box, the Togouchi single malt is an exciting expression of Japanese whisky craftsmanship for both connoisseurs of Japanese whiskies and curious newcomers.
Tasting NoteColour: Light gold.
Nose: Delicate and balanced with green apples, dried citrus fruits, vanilla, malt and a fine woody note.
Flavour: Elegant and smooth with a light sweetness, toffee, yellow fruit, oak spice and a hint of white chocolate.

The Togouchi single malt unfolds its finely balanced flavour best enjoyed neat at room temperature, preferably with a few drops of water. Ideal as a relaxed after-dinner whisky, for a Japanese-inspired tasting, or as a stylish gift for lovers of mild but complex whiskies.
