The Pogues Official Irish Whiskey is a specially created blend made in honour of the famous Irish folk-punk band ‘The Pogues’. This whiskey is produced by West Cork Distillers, one of the last independent distilleries in Ireland. The distillery is known for its artisanal approach and the preservation of traditional distillation methods.
The whiskey consists of a blend of 50% Irish single malt and 50% single grain whiskey. This composition ensures a balanced flavour profile that combines both the depth and complexity of the single malt and the lightness and smoothness of the single grain whisky. The maturation period of three years and one day in oak casks allows the whisky to develop characteristic flavours.
