The Macallan Concept No. 2 is the second release in the new Concept series from Macallan. This whisky combines the similarities and points of contact between whisky making and the composition of music. Whisky maker Steven Bremner seeks to unite and celebrate his two greatest passions.
Bremner recognises the similarities by bringing together notes and sounds in music, for example, and layering them on top of each other. This process can also be observed in whisky production, where flavours and the selected maturation play a major role. This Macallan is aged in sherry-seasoned American oak casks, Miguel Martin sherry casks and ex-bourbon casks, creating a unique flavour profile. #macallancreates
