The Legendary DARK SILKIE Irish Whiskey 46% Vol. 0.7 l + GB is an Irish whiskey blend full of character from the Sliabh Liag Distillers Distillery in County Donegal, Ireland. The Silkie Irish Whiskey series is inspired by the legendary figures of Irish folklore – the so-called Silkies, mystical sea creatures from Celtic mythology. With Dark Silkie Irish Whiskey, the distillery presents a particularly powerful and smoky interpretation of the traditional Irish whiskey blend.
Carefully selected single malt whiskeys and grain whiskeys are blended together for this bottling. Some of the malts used are dried over peat smoke, giving the whiskey a distinctive smoky and maritime flavour. Maturation takes place predominantly in ex-bourbon casks made from American white oak, which gives the whiskey additional depth as well as notes of vanilla and sweetness. At 46% vol., this Irish whiskey is deliberately bottled stronger to bring out its aromatic diversity particularly clearly. It is supplied in a gift box, making this bottling an ideal gift for whiskey lovers.
