The Glenlivet distillery, which was founded in 1824 as Scotland’s first licensed whisky distillery, has grown over the years to become the largest malt distillery in the country. With an impressive annual production of around 12 million litres of whisky, Glenlivet stands for quality and tradition in whisky production worldwide.
This special Glenlivet whisky is matured for 12 years in a combination of American and European oak casks. This unique “double oak” maturation allows a harmonious and complex palette of aromas and flavours to develop over the years. The American oak brings sweet vanilla and light fruity notes to the whisky, while the European oak provides deeper, spicy nuances.
Through this careful maturation, the whisky develops a remarkable depth and complexity that makes it a distinctive and enjoyable experience.
