This edition is characterised by its finish in Chinquapin Virgin Oak casks – a rare North American oak species from the Ozark Mountains, which gives the whisky a distinctive spiciness and a fine balance of sweetness and wood notes.
After an initial maturation in American ex-bourbon casks, the whisky is transferred to Chinquapin Virgin Oak casks for further refinement. This finish provides exceptional depth and gives the whisky spicy and nutty flavours, complemented by sweet caramel and vanilla notes.
