Spey FŨMÃRE Smoky and Peaty Single Malt Scotch Whisky 46% Vol. 0.7 l + GB is a unique whisky from the renowned Speyside distillery, which was founded by George Christie in 1976. Over the years, the distillery changed hands several times before finally being taken over by Harveys of Edinburgh. Under this management, the name of the single malts also changed to “Spey” to strengthen the connection to the region and the distillery’s tradition. Spey FŨMÃRE is the first peated whisky ever to emerge from this distillery, clearly setting it apart from the more traditional, unpeated whiskies of Speyside.
This whisky is characterised by a special production process that combines traditional methods with innovative accents. The peating method, which is responsible for the smoky character, has rarely been used in Speyside, making Spey FŨMÃRE an exceptional specimen in the region. Maturation takes place in carefully selected casks, which combine the smoky peat flavour with a subtle fruitiness and a light spiciness. This process creates a whisky that combines both the distinctive smokiness and the typical fruity notes of Speyside.

Nose: A strong, smoky note of peat and burnt wood, accompanied by a slight sweetness. Aromas of baked apple, honey and a hint of vanilla make the nose complex and multi-layered.
Flavour: Intensely smoky and peaty with a fine, salty sea breeze. This is joined by fruity notes of green apple and citrus fruits, which soften the flavour and ensure a balanced interplay.
Finish: Langs and warm, with a distinct smoky aftertaste and a slightly mineral note that lingers for a long time.
The Spey FŨMÃRE Smoky and Peaty Single Malt is perfect for enjoying neat to experience the complex flavours of smoke and peat. This whisky is ideal with strong, mature cheeses such as Gouda or a strong cheddar. This whisky also brings the right depth and intensity to grilled meat or a savoury steak. If you want to use the whisky in a cocktail, it is ideal in a “Smoky Old Fashioned” or a “Peaty Sour” to combine the smoky character with a hint of sweetness.
