Slyrs Bavarian Rye Whisky 41% Vol. 0,7l in gift box
£46.75
Description
Slyrs Bavarian Rye Whisky is a characterful German rye whisky, 41% ABV, in a 0.7-litre bottle, complete with a high-quality gift box. With this bottling, the Slyrs Distillery on Lake Schliersee reinterprets the classic rye whisky in its very own Bavarian style. Rye, which was brought to North America by European immigrants over 300 years ago, is considered the original basis of American rye whisky. For the Slyrs Bavarian Rye, the distillery relies on the traditional ‘Bavarian Urkorn’ rye, which makes up the largest proportion of the mash. This three-grain mash is complemented by barley and wheat, which harmoniously support the rye and lend the whisky additional balance. The result is a whisky in a class of its own, which differs markedly from the classic Slyrs Bavarian Single Malt and impressively demonstrates the versatility of Bavarian whisky production.
Slyrs Bavarian Rye Whisky captivates with a balanced interplay of fruity, spicy and mellow aromas. The high proportion of rye ensures the characteristic spicy-sweet style, whilst barley and wheat round off the whisky, making it pleasantly smooth and harmonious. Served neat and slightly chilled, this bottling reveals its full spectrum of flavours and offers an authentic tasting experience for lovers of high-quality rye whiskies.
