Since 1999, the Slyrs Distillery has been producing Upper Bavaria’s first and only single malt whisky, distilled using the traditional ‘Rau’ and ‘Fein’ methods. The name ‘Slyrs’ is a pseudo-Gaelic variation of ‘Schliersee’, the distillery’s home town, and reflects the regional ties and traditional craftsmanship expressed in every drop of this whisky.
The Bavarian whisky distillery Slyrs is expanding its range with the Slyrs Bavarian Peat Single Malt, a traditional and exquisite bottling that enriches the portfolio. This single malt, which captivates with its expressive and peaty character, showcases the distillery’s artisanal expertise. The unique combination of flavours lends it an impressive depth and complexity, making it an outstanding example of Slyrs whiskies.

Tasting NoteColour: Deep amber.
Nose: Sweetish, spicy roasted aromas, dried pepper, cardamom, earthy notes.
Palate: Peaty, smoky, fruity notes of ripe pears, dried fruit, dark chocolate and tobacco.
Finish: Long-lasting, with vanilla, lemon and salty caramel flavours.
