Description
The Signatory Vintage 100 Proof Edition Tullibardine 9 Years Old Single Malt 2015 is a strong and characterful single malt Scotch whisky that was bottled as part of the renowned Signatory Vintage series. This bottling comes from single cask #44 and was distilled in 2015. After nine years of maturation in carefully selected oak casks, the whisky was bottled in 2024 at an impressive 57.1% cask strength by volume – without any chill filtration or added colour.
The independent bottling by Signatory Vintage is a guarantee of authenticity and uncompromising quality. The Tullibardine distillery, from which this whisky originates, is located in the Scottish Highlands and is known for its elegant yet powerful single malts. This edition brings out the full potential of the distillery, as the cask strength preserves the full spectrum of flavours and allows the connoisseur to explore this whisky individually with water.
The cask maturation creates a single malt with depth, spice and subtle fruity nuances – a prime example of high-quality Highland whiskies. The limited bottling in the 100 proof edition is aimed at discerning connoisseurs who value transparency, origin and craftsmanship. The cask numbering and single cask bottling are particularly exciting, making each bottle unique.
Tasting NoteColour: Rich gold.
Nose: Strong and spicy with notes of malt, vanilla, ripe pear and a hint of oak.
Flavour: Full-bodied, intense and complex with aromas of honey, cereals, spices and a slight hint of citrus.
Finish: Langs, warm and slightly peppery with traces of wood and sweet malt.
This single malt unfolds its full potential neat or with a few drops of water to tame the cask strength a little and bring out the flavours even more finely. Ideal for whisky tastings, where lovers of powerful bottlings will get their money’s worth. This whisky also makes an excellent accompaniment to strong cheese or dark chocolate. Due to its limited character, the bottling is also ideal as a gift or for collectors of high-quality single cask whiskies. Those who enjoy cooking with high-quality whiskies can also use it as an aromatic ingredient in whisky sauces or desserts such as “whisky crème brûlée”.
