Scapegrace is a premium brand that originated in New Zealand. It was founded by two friends, Mark Neal and Daniel McLaughlin, who shared a passion for gin, whisky and vodka and wanted to create unique and exceptional spirits. The word “Scapegrace” refers to a mischievous or reckless person and reflects the adventurous and rebellious character of the brand.
Blood Moon Gin is known for its deep red colour, which sets it apart from conventional clear gins. The vibrant colour is achieved by using natural ingredients such as aronia berries and butterfly flowers as well as blood oranges during the distillation process. These botanicals give the gin a vibrant red pigment, resulting in its visually captivating appearance.
