Salzl Sacris Zweigelt Reserve Neusiedlersee DAC 2021 14% ABV 0.75l

£34.25

The Salzl Sacris Zweigelt Reserve Neusiedlersee DAC 2021, 14% ABV, in a 0.75-litre bottle, is an impressive premium Zweigelt from Austria that strikingly demonstrates the potential of the country’s most significant red grape variety. Produced by the renowned Salzl Seewinkelhof winery, this high-quality Neusiedlersee DAC red wine combines power, elegance and exceptional depth. The vines grow on Paratschernosem soils of loamy sand with a high proportion of gravel, creating the ideal conditions for concentrated and characterful red wines.

The wine is made from 100% Zweigelt and vinified in stainless steel tanks following traditional maceration for 18 days. This is followed by malolactic fermentation, before the wine matures for 24 months in small oak barrels made from 100% new wood. This elaborate ageing process lends the Salzl Sacris Zweigelt Reserve exceptional complexity, structure and ageing potential. With an alcohol content of 14% vol., this Austrian red wine is powerful, concentrated and, at the same time, remarkably precise. Bottling took place in November 2024. Thanks to its high ageing potential, it is recommended to store it until at least 2035. This Neusiedlersee DAC Zweigelt is one of the most impressive expressions of its grape variety and combines modern winemaking techniques with a strong expression of terroir.
