Description

In the picturesque landscape of Riegersburg in Styria, Alois Gölles is the third generation to run the traditional family fruit-growing business. After graduating from the renowned Federal College for Wine and Fruit Growing in Klosterneuburg, he dedicated himself to refining his parents’ harvest of apples, pears, plums and peaches. He began distilling fine brandies in 1979, followed by the founding of his high-quality vinegar factory in 1984. Today, the range comprises around twenty fine brandies and just as many types of vinegar, which are regularly recognised.

Ruotker’s Wilhelm III. Whiskey is characterised by the use of the finest Scottish barley and undergoes a maturation process of 4 to 5 years in American white oak barrels. A special feature of this whiskey is its processing and distillation in Styria, which gives it a unique combination of traditional Scottish raw materials and Austrian craftsmanship. This whiskey was selected and blended with great care by David Gölles.
