The Reservoir Virginia Rye Whiskey Batch 1 – Year 2024 is a powerful, authentic rye whiskey from the USA, made by hand from regional ingredients. This limited small-batch bottling is produced by the Reservoir Distillery in Richmond, Virginia – an independent craft distillery known for its clear philosophy of origin and high-quality single cask and small-batch bottlings. The rye for this whiskey comes 100% from Virginia and characterises the spicy, distinctive character of the bottling.
With an alcohol content of 50% by volume, this rye whiskey has powerful flavours without losing any of its balance. The maturation in fresh, burnt American oak barrels ensures an intense interplay of rye spice, vanilla, roasted nuts and dark caramel. Batch 1 from the 2024 vintage produces an American rye with a strong character and depth that is just as impressive on its own as it is in a classic whiskey cocktail.

This rye is ideal on its own at room temperature or with a few drops of water to open up the flavours. Also perfect for classic cocktails such as Manhattan, Sazerac or Whiskey Sour. When paired with food, Reservoir Rye goes perfectly with smoked meat, pepper-crusted beef tartare, pastrami sandwiches or strong cheeses such as Gruyère.
