Produced at the Prakaan Distillery, this bottling is part of the Tribura Series, whose name refers to the three historic defence walls of the ancient city of Kamphaeng Phet. The series stands for precision craftsmanship, selected raw materials and the combination of traditional distillation with modern cask ageing.
The speciality of this double cask single malt whisky lies in its maturation in two different types of cask. The whisky matures in a combination of ex-bourbon casks made from American oak and ex-sherry casks made from Spanish oak, creating a multi-layered flavour profile. While the bourbon casks contribute soft vanilla and caramel notes, the sherry casks add fruity and spicy components. This combination gives the Prakaan single malt whisky a harmonious balance of fruit, sweetness and spicy oak and emphasises the modern style of this single malt from Thailand.
