Olde English already exists since 1969, only 10 years later the brand was bought by the Pabst Brewing Company. The company started to market the beer to a younger and trendy crowd. Another 10 years later, many Afro and Latin Americans were drinking Olde English, from NYC to the West Coast. It was then that the legendary rap group N.W.A. published their album “The Posse” with the band holding Olde English bottles on the cover. What followed where more rappers loving the beer and movies such as “Boyz N The Hood” and “Menace II Society” where Olde English could be scene in many scenes.
