This exclusive travel retail edition comes from the historic Old Pulteney Distillery in the Scottish coastal town of Wick, one of the northernmost distilleries on the Scottish mainland. The distillery was founded in 1826 by James Henderson to supply whisky to the numerous fishermen and workers in what was then known as the ‘herring capital’. This 10-year-old single malt is matured exclusively in second-fill American white oak casks. This choice of cask preserves the distillery’s characteristic maritime style whilst ensuring a harmonious balance of fruitiness, sweetness and gentle oak spice.
