Description
The crowning glory of the Octomore 14 series is the Octomore 14.3, which was distilled with 100% Islay Barley. The barley used for this whisky comes from Octomore Farm, just two miles away, and gives the 14.3 a very special cereal flavour.
Adam Hannett, the head distiller, opted for an innovative combination of casks to mature Octomore 14.3, choosing first-fill ex-American whiskey casks and second-fill wine casks, which give the whisky a special depth without dominating it.
The Octomore 14.3 is not just a whisky from the Super Heavily Peated range, but a tribute to the unique conditions of the Islay region and the expertise of the distillery. It tells the story of the land, the people and the craftsmanship that makes this whisky so exceptional.
