Mellow Corn Kentucky Straight Corn Whiskey is a real rarity among American whiskeys. It belongs to the rare category of straight corn whiskeys, which must contain at least 81% corn in the mash. Produced by the Heaven Hill Distillery, Mellow Corn offers a mild, sweet yet powerful flavour experience with an alcohol content of 50% by volume (100 proof).
A special feature of this whiskey is its maturation for four years in used ex-bourbon barrels, which gives it a softer wood flavour than classic bourbons aged in new barrels. This preserves the natural sweetness of the corn and brings out soft vanilla and caramel flavours. Its distinctive yellow label design makes it instantly recognisable, and its unique profile clearly sets it apart from bourbon or rye whiskey.

Nose: Sweet corn, vanilla, roasted grain, light honey notes, subtle spice.
Flavour: Full-bodied, sweetish, notes of caramel, toffee, roasted corn and gentle oak spice.
Finish: Langs, warm, slightly spicy, with sweet vanilla and cereal notes.
Thanks to its high corn content and pleasant sweetness, Mellow Corn is ideal for drinking neat or on ice. Its strong 50 % vol. also makes it an excellent choice for classic whiskey cocktails such as the Whiskey Sour, Old Fashioned or Manhattan.
In culinary terms, it harmonises particularly well with BBQ dishes, grilled meat and caramelised desserts. Its sweet and spicy notes also make it an interesting companion for mature cheeses or nutty snacks.
