Description
The first Loch Lomond Distillery site was established at the northern end of Loch Lomond near Tarbet in 1814. The current distillery was founded in 1965 by the former owners of the Littlemill Distillery a few miles from Glasgow.
Master blender Michael Henry is in charge of the distillery. Michael grew up next to two distilleries and developed a passion for distilling and brewing whisky at an early age. He has been the Master Blender at Loch Lomond Distillery since 2014.
The Loch Lomond Distillery’s Remarkable Stills Series contains some of the oldest and rarest spirits ever developed by the distillery.
The Loch Lomond 46 Years Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky is the second bottling in the Remarkable Stills Series. The whisky is aged for 44 years in American oak casks. It is then finished for two years in a combination of first-fill Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez sherry casks.

Nose: Fruity, sweet, notes of toffee, caramelised sugar, roses, peaches, mangoes, vanilla syrup.
Flavour: Fresh, rich, aromas of ripe pears, fresh orange peel, sweet melted brown sugar, cinnamon, cloves, sultanas, sultanas.
Finish: Langs on the palate.
