Description
Loch Lomond Distillery was founded in 1814 at the northern end of Loch Lomond near Tarbet. The current distillery was established in 1965 by the former owners of the Littlemill distillery, a few miles from Glasgow.
Master Blender Michael Henry runs the distillery and brings his passion for distilling and brewing whisky, which he developed early on through his proximity to distilleries. He has been the Master Blender at Loch Lomond Distillery since 2014.
The Loch Lomond whiskies are proud partners of “The Open”, the oldest and most prestigious golf tournament in the world. Colin Montgomerie, Loch Lomond’s whisky ambassador, helped develop this expression as a tribute to the history of The Open.
The casks are carefully selected by hand to complement the distillery’s signature style with added depth of flavour. Inspired by the surrounding landscape of Loch Lomond, one of the deepest lochs in Scotland, the result is a subtle whisky of outstanding quality. This special whisky is matured for 23 years in American oak casks and then finished for up to six months in the finest Manzanilla sherry casks.
