Laurent Perrier Champagne LA CUVÉE Brut 12% Vol. 0,75l
£48.47
The Laurent Perrier Champagne LA CUVÉE Brut 12% Vol. in a 0.75 l bottle is the flagship product of the renowned Champagne house Laurent Perrier and impressively embodies the Maison’s philosophy. Purity, freshness and elegance are at the heart of this exceptional cuvée, which is produced from the purest grape juice. The deliberately high proportion of Chardonnay – over 50 per cent – defines the house’s unmistakable style and lends the champagne its characteristic finesse and lightness.
The blend consists of more than 50 per cent Chardonnay, 30–35 per cent Pinot Noir and 10–15 per cent Meunier. The cuvée is complemented by 15–30 per cent reserve wines, which provide additional complexity and consistency. The grapes are sourced from over 100 crus across the Champagne region, bringing an impressive variety of terroirs to the blend. After a long ageing period of around four years in the house’s cellars, the champagne develops its remarkable harmony and aromatic depth. With an alcohol content of 12% vol., Laurent Perrier La Cuvée is fresh, precise and elegant, and is regarded as the ideal introduction to the world of Laurent Perrier, as well as one of France’s best-known premium champagnes.
Tasting NoteIn the glass, Laurent Perrier La Cuvée Brut presents a pale gold colour with a very fine, persistent perlage and an elegant head of foam. On the nose, fresh citrus fruits and white flowers unfold into a delicate yet expressive bouquet. On the palate, vineyard peaches and white fruits emerge, accompanied by remarkable freshness and finesse. The fruity aromas linger right through to the long, harmonious finish, lending the cuvée its elegant balance.
Laurent Perrier La Cuvée Brut is ideal as a classic aperitif and pairs superbly with oysters, prawns, scallops and delicate fish dishes. This French champagne also pairs beautifully with white meats such as veal or poultry, as well as with elegant starters. Its freshness and finesse make it a versatile choice for festive occasions and fine dining. Served at a temperature of 8–10 °C, this brut champagne reveals its full elegance and aromatic complexity to the full.
