Description
Laphroaig is a whisky distillery on the Scottish island of Islay in the Hebrides and is part of the Japanese-American Beam Suntory Group. As the distillery’s buildings are listed on the Scottish Heritage List, Laphroaig has not only historical but also cultural value. In the production of Laphroaig, barley malt is dried over a peat fire, allowing the smoke from this unique Islay peat to give the whisky its particularly rich flavour.
The Laphroaig Oak Select, which is supplied without an age statement, owes its name to a special selection of casks from the USA and Europe. These carefully selected casks contribute significantly to the unique variety of flavours of this whisky and give it a special complexity.
