History of Laphroaig
The history of Laphroaig Lore takes us back 200 years to the island of Islay, where two brothers wanted to create a particularly rich single malt whiskey. It all began with the storage of whiskey in ex-bourbon casks. To give the whiskey a very personal touch, the barley malt was dried at a low temperature and barrels of different sizes were used for storage. Today, Laphroaig Lore combines this entire distillery history in just one bottle.
Taste
The blend of four different cask types gives the single malt whiskey its unique and versatile taste. A sip of Laphroaig Lore takes you on a taste journey that begins with strong smoke, pepper and some ash, then becomes rich and peaty with a spicy chilli flavor and leaves a sweet aftertaste of vanilla and roasted chestnuts in the finish.
