Description

La Cofradia Ed. Catrina Tequila Añejo 100% de Agave 38% Vol. 0.7 l is an exceptional premium tequila produced with the utmost care and traditional craftsmanship. The name La Cofradia, which translates as “brotherhood”, stands for more than 50 years of experience in tequila production and epitomises Mexican culture to perfection. Made from 100% blue Werder agave, this fine tequila is matured in oak barrels after double distillation to develop its unique character.

As an añejo tequila, it undergoes a longer maturation period than reposado tequilas, giving it a particularly soft, full-bodied structure with a fascinating combination of sweet, spicy and woody flavours. The harmonious fusion of ripe agave, vanilla, toasted oak and caramel makes it a real experience for discerning connoisseurs.

The unique bottle design – the “Ed. Catrina”

Another highlight of this premium tequila is the skilfully handcrafted ceramic bottle, which is part of the exclusive “Ed. Catrina” edition. Inspired by La Catrina, the iconic figure of the Mexican Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), the bottle is artfully decorated with a detailed, colourful skull motif. It represents the appreciation of Mexican culture and is a true collector’s item for lovers of fine spirits.

A meisterwerk of tequila art – powerful, elegant and with a unique design that combines culture and flavour. A real highlight for connoisseurs and collectors.

Tasting NoteColour: Deep gold with warm amber reflections.

Nose: Elegant aromas of toasted oak, sweet vanilla and fine caramel notes, accompanied by spicy agave nuances.

Flavour: Full-bodied and velvety with a perfect balance of ripe agave, caramel, chocolate and a hint of cinnamon.

La Cofradia Ed. Catrina Tequila Añejo is perfect for Purist enjoyment to experience its multi-layered flavours in all their depth. It can be served slightly chilled or at room temperature in a bulbous glass. It harmonises particularly well with dark chocolate, roasted nuts or spicy cheese. For cocktail lovers, it makes a fine base for an Añejo Old Fashioned or a luxurious Tequila Manhattan.
