Koval Barreled Gin is an excellent creation from the renowned Koval Distillery in Chicago, which is known for its innovative and high-quality spirits. This gin offers an exceptional combination of classic juniper flavour and the warm, spicy notes that come from barrel ageing. While conventional gin is usually bottled directly after distillation, Koval Barreled Gin is matured in burnt oak barrels, which gives it remarkable depth and complexity.
The basis of this gin is the organic grain typical of Koval, which is processed in a careful small-batch process. The combination of botanicals such as juniper, coriander and angelica root harmonises perfectly with the subtle vanilla and caramel notes added by the barrel. The ageing process gives the gin a golden colour and a pleasant woody note that makes it seem almost like a light whisky – a perfect hybrid for lovers of both spirits. With an alcohol content of 47% vol., it develops an intense interplay of flavours and is suitable both for pure enjoyment and for unusual cocktails.
