The Jack Daniel’s Select Single Barrel Tennessee Whiskey 45% Vol. 0.7 l + GB is a special bottling from the traditional Jack Daniel’s Distillery in Lynchburg, Tennessee. In contrast to the classic Old No. 7, this whiskey comes from just one single barrel – hence the name Single Barrel. Each barrel is individually selected and has its very own character. This results in whiskeys with special depth, intensity and a unique flavour that can vary slightly from barrel to barrel.
This Tennessee whiskey is produced using the traditional charcoal mellowing process, in which the freshly distilled whiskey is filtered drop by drop through a layer of charcoal made from sugar maple several metres thick. This elaborate process ensures a particularly smooth yet strong flavour. The whiskey is then matured in handmade oak barrels, which enable intensive ageing due to Tennessee’s climate with warm summers and cool winters.
With an alcohol content of 45% vol., Jack Daniel’s Select Single Barrel is stronger than the classic and is aimed at connoisseurs who appreciate whiskeys with more depth and structure.
