Hillinger Hill Side White 2023 12,5% Vol. 0,75l
£11.35
The Hillinger Hill Side White 2023 is an expressive Austrian quality white wine from Burgenland that impresses with its depth, exotic flavours and creamy structure. Produced by the renowned Leo Hillinger winery, this cuvée stands for a modern, powerful white wine style with an international flavour and clear origin. The blend of 70% Pinot Gris, 15% Chardonnay and 15% Gelber Muskateller combines structure, richness and aromatic diversity to create a multi-layered overall picture.
The vinification is precisely designed for expression and texture. After a maceration period of around six hours, the wine is fermented in stainless steel tanks for around four weeks. The wine then matures for around two months on the full lees and a further four months on the fine lees, giving the dry white wine depth, creaminess and balance. With an alcohol content of 12.5%, the 2023 vintage is full-bodied, round and harmonious. The defined ageing potential of around three years emphasises the focus on maturity and stability. Bottled with a natural cork, this white wine from Austria is sophisticated, independent and full of character.
Tasting NoteThe colour in the glass is an intense straw yellow with a delicate pink hue. The nose reveals a broad spectrum of aromas with ripe pineapple, mango and lychee as well as special hints of caramelised almonds and sweet popcorn. On the palate, the wine is round and full-bodied with exotic notes of chocolate banana, lychee and pineapple, supported by moderate acidity and ripe tannins. The finish is long, creamy and warming with lingering depth.
Acidity: 5 g/l
Residual sugar: 1.4 g/l
The Hillinger Hill Side White 2023 is ideal as an expressive accompaniment to polenta, grilled spare ribs or roast beef with tartar sauce, where its richness and exotic flavours really come into their own. This dry white wine also shows its strength with strong vegetarian dishes or dishes with roasted flavours. Thanks to its structure and creaminess, it is also recommended for enjoyable evenings without food. This cuvée white wine from Burgenland reveals its full complexity and elegance when served at a moderate temperature.
