Hagn Blauer Burgunder 2023 13% Vol. 0,75l

£7.18

The Hagn Blauer Burgunder 2023 13% Vol. 0.75 l is an elegant Blauer Burgunder from Lower Austria that beautifully expresses the finesse and aromatic precision of this classic Burgundy variety. Produced by Weingut Hagn in Mailberg in the Weinviertel region, the grapes come from the Hochlüssen vineyard, whose loamy loess soils offer ideal conditions for structured yet elegant Pinot Noir and Pinot Noir quality wines from Austria.

After harvesting, the grapes are quickly crushed and then fermented for 22 days in stainless steel tanks at around 28°C, with flooding and aeration ensuring optimum extraction. The subsequent maturation takes place 100% in large wooden barrels, which gives the wine additional structure and elegance without losing its fruity style. With 13% alcohol by volume, a recommended serving temperature of 17-19°C and a drinking window of around 2025 to 2030, this Blauer Burgunder from Lower Austria presents itself as a harmonious red wine with a fine balance between fruit, structure and Burgundian elegance.

Tasting NoteThe Hagn Blauer Burgunder 2023 has a clear ruby red colour in the glass. The nose reveals pronounced aromas of raspberries and strawberries with a fine Burgundian elegance. On the palate, the wine is juicy and structured with noticeable, well-integrated tannins. The finish is elegant, harmonious and long-lasting.

Acidity: 4.4 g/litre

Residual sugar: 3.4 g/l

This Blauer Burgunder from Lower Austria is an excellent accompaniment to poultry dishes, veal, mild game dishes or mushroom dishes. It also harmonises very well with grilled meat, pasta with tomato sauce or mild cheese and is ideal for elegant menus and enjoyable evenings.
