The Goalong Single Malt STR Wine Cask Chinese Whisky 46.5% Vol. 0.7 l + GB is an outstanding example of China’s up-and-coming whisky culture, which is increasingly gaining international recognition. This single malt whisky is produced by the Goalong Distillery in Liuyang, Hunan Province, one of the most modern distilleries in the country. Whiskies are produced there by hand using traditional methods, which impress with their quality, innovative spirit and the combination of Chinese craftsmanship and international expertise.
The STR Wine Cask Single Malt matures in carefully selected wine casks, which are prepared using the innovative STR process (Shaved, Toasted, Recharred). This process, originally developed by Dr Jim Swan, gives the whisky its impressive depth, colour and aromatic complexity. With an alcohol content of 46.5% vol., non-chill-filtered and without colouring, the whisky presents itself with natural purity and full-bodied expression.

Nose: Fruity and spicy with notes of red berries, caramel, vanilla, toasted oak and subtle honey.
