Description

Description

The Fettercairn whisky distillery was founded in 1824 by Sir Alexander Ramsay in the Highlands of Scotland. After Glenlivet, Fettercairn was the second distillery to receive an official distilling licence. After a number of owners, the distillery was sold to United Spirits Limited in 2007. Today, the bottles still bear the white unicorn emblem, which was introduced as a trademark by Sir Alexander Ramsay. The ring on the neck of the bottle and the grooves on the bottle reflect the exceptional nature of the distillation facilities with external cooling.

Every single malt from Fettercairn Warehouse 2 has a tropical character which results from the copper cooling ring distillation process.

This special single malt from the Highlands is stored in ex-bourbon barrels, rum barrels and French red wine barrels. After the maturation process, it is bottled without chill filtration and colouring.
