Ferdinand’s Vermouth WHITE 18% Vol. 0,5l
£24.88
Ferdinand’s Vermouth WHITE 18% vol. 0.5 litre is an exceptional, high-quality Vermouth made from hand-picked Riesling grapes from the renowned Zilliken vineyard. These fine grapes come from the famous steep slate slopes of the Saarburger Rauschen, one of the largest vineyards in the Saar region. Here, in the heart of the Moselle region, the Riesling grows in a unique terroir that gives the grapes a special freshness and minerality.
After the harvest, this Vermouth is produced with a careful selection of herbs and flowers from the Saar region, which give the drink a floral and spicy complexity. Maturation takes place in traditional Mosel-Fuder barrels, which range in size from 1,000 to 1,800 litres and are made of high-quality oak. These barrels contribute to a gentle integration of the flavours and allow the fruity and aromatic notes of the Vermouth to develop harmoniously. Ferdinand’s Vermouth WHITE thus pays homage to the region and its wine-growing tradition and offers an exceptional flavour experience.
Tasting NoteIn the glass, this vermouth shines in a clear, light gold colour with a hint of greenish yellow. The fragrance opens with a delicate, floral note accompanied by ripe citrus fruits and a hint of honey. The first sip reveals a harmonious combination of fresh fruit and a fine herbal flavour. The flavours of apple and white peaches are supported by a floral hint of chamomile and lavender. The gentle bitterness of the herbs and the mineral freshness from the grapes round off the flavour perfectly and allow the Vermouth to linger in the mouth for a pleasantly long time.
Ferdinand’s Vermouth WHITE is ideal as the basis for a classic Martini, but also as an aperitif, neat or on ice, to fully enjoy its multi-faceted flavour. It is the perfect accompaniment to a selection of light starters such as goat’s cheese, prawns or a fresh Mediterranean antipasti platter. For a special touch, Vermouth can also be combined with gin or tonic in cocktails to further emphasise its refreshing and floral character.
