The Scallywag Noir Edition from Douglas Laing is a limited and high-proof special bottling that has been matured exclusively in former Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. With a strong alcohol content of 52.8 % vol. and bottled in an elegant 0.7 litre bottle with gift box, this Speyside blended malt Scotch whisky impressively brings out the dark, fruity side of sherry cask maturation.
The whisky consists of a selection of single malts from renowned Speyside distilleries, which together produce a particularly intense, deep flavour profile. The exclusive maturation in PX sherry casks develops a multi-layered character with notes of dark fruit, sweet syrup, chocolate, spices and toasted wood.
