Doppio Passo Primitivo Rosato Puglia IGT 2024 12% Vol. 0,75l

£10.31

The Doppio Passo Rosato Primitivo Puglia IGT 2024 is an elegant, fruit-driven rosé wine from the sunny south of Italy. This expressive wine is produced by CVCB – Casa Vinicola Carlo Botter in the traditional wine-growing region of Apulia, which is known for its sun-kissed, powerful and aromatic wines. The basis is the popular Primitivo grape variety, whose grapes are harvested exclusively by hand when perfectly ripe.

After selective hand-picking, the grapes are quickly transported to the winery, where they are sorted, carefully crushed and then fermented at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks. The Rosato then matures for several months on the fine lees, allowing its structure, freshness and aromatic harmony to develop further. The result is a sweet, fruity rosé wine that delights with its lively character and velvety texture. With an alcohol content of 12% vol., this rosato is pleasantly light, balanced and ideal for the warmer months.

Tasting NoteThe Doppio Passo Rosato Puglia 2024 shines in the glass with a vibrant rosé colour and brilliant clarity. The nose reveals intense aromas of ripe strawberries, raspberries, redcurrants and a hint of blood orange. On the palate, it is light-footed, velvety and fruity, with a fine residual sweetness, lively fruit acidity and a fresh, harmonious finish. A rosato that is a joy to drink with a Mediterranean flavour.

Acidity: 6.1 g/l

Residual sugar: 14.5 g/l

The Doppio Passo Rosato Primitivo is an ideal accompaniment to Asian-inspired dishes such as coconut and lime fish curry, but also to vegetable salad with beetroot, omelette with salmon and fennel or summer picnics with fresh antipasti. Served chilled at 8-10 °C, it unfolds its full flavour and brings Italian lightness to the glass. Perfect for social gatherings, barbecues or simply as an uncomplicated rosé with Mediterranean flair.
