The Deanston Kentucky Cask Matured Highland Single Malt is a high-quality and pleasantly accessible whisky from the Scottish Highlands. Produced in the traditional Deanston Distillery, which is located in a former cotton mill dating back to 1785, this single malt embodies the distillery’s philosophy: natural ingredients, artisanal production and unpeated whiskies with authentic character.
Since its foundation in 1965, Deanston has gone through various phases, from its launch under the name Old Bannockburn to its later rebranding as Burn Stewart Distillers. This bottling is a wonderful example of the distillery’s elegant, mild and sweet style. The whisky is matured in first and second fill ex-bourbon casks that were previously filled with Kentucky bourbon.

Nose: Fresh notes of honey, vanilla and citrus fruits with a hint of oak.
Taste: Light and smooth with flavours of sweet malt, caramel, toffee and a fine spiciness from the oak.
Finish: Medium length with a pleasant balance of sweetness and gentle spice.
The Deanston Kentucky Cask Matured is ideal for pure enjoyment or on ice. Its light, sweet flavours also make it the perfect base for whisky highballs, whisky sours or a mint julep. It harmonises particularly well with roasted almonds, caramel desserts or mild cheese, which emphasise its vanilla and honey notes.
