The Clonakilty Distillery was founded in 2017 and is located in the picturesque town of Clonakilty on the south coast of Ireland. The region around the distillery is now in the eighth generation of the Scully family, who have a long tradition of producing high-quality spirits. The mild climate on the south coast, characterised by the fresh air of the Atlantic, creates excellent conditions for the cultivation of the required grains. The combination of regional ingredients and state-of-the-art distillation technology creates an unmistakable character that makes Clonakilty a remarkable address for lovers of fine spirits.
Clonakilty GALLEY HEAD is a single malt whisky that is matured in the picturesque warehouses by the Atlantic Ocean. This exceptional location gives it a unique maritime flavour and ensures a special influence on the maturation process. The whisky is given a special finish in former Bordeaux red wine barrels, which are scraped and re-toasted beforehand.
The result is a harmonious and full-bodied whisky that combines the tradition of the Clonakilty distillery with innovative maturation methods.

Taste: Ripe red fruit, dark chocolate, hints of liquorice.
