Chapter 7 – Allt-a Bhainne 2008 Single Malt Scotch Whisky
This is a single cask bottling from a bourbon cask that only yielded 298 bottles. Allt-a Bhainne is a silent hero for Chivas Brothers and serves as one of the main malt whiskies in the Chivas Regal Blends. Allt-a Bhainne is no stranger to Chapter 7, as its very first bottling, a 19-year-old whisky, caused a sensation in 2014 and received great reviews. This particular cask has been Chapter 7™’s baby since 2016. They carefully monitored the maturation and decided to give this fruity whisky a twist by finishing it in one of our Caol Ila First Fill Bourbon casks and the result is exquisite.
Aroma and taste
Nose: Fruit, floral bouquet, manuka honey, candied orange, a hint of smoke.
Palate: Butterscotch, preserved peach, honey, gingerbread, cinnamon spice.
Finish: Sweet, long, tangerine dipped in sweet spices.
