Description

Catoctin Creek was founded in 2009 by Becky and Scott Harris as the first legal distillery in Loudoun County. The distillery is located in Purcellville, Virginia, in the heart of the Loudoun Valley. Virginia is the birthplace of American whisky.

The name Catoctin is derived from the Native American tribal name “Kittocton”, which according to legend means “place of many deer”. Catoctin describes a mountain range and the stream of the same name, which flows past the distillery into the Potomac River and the Chesapeake Watershed.

Grain and fruit is sourced locally, free of pesticides and chemical additives.

The Catoctin Creek Rye Whisky Distillers Edition is made from 100% locally sourced rye. The whisky is distilled in copper pot stills. It is matured in white oak barrels from Minnesota.
