Bushmills Irish Whiskey Caribbean Rum Cask Finish 40% vol. 0.7 l is an aromatic blended Irish whiskey from the historic Old Bushmills Distillery in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. This special bottling combines the characteristic elegance of Bushmills with an exotic rum cask finish, which lends the whisky additional depth and tropical flavours. The distillery is one of Ireland’s oldest licensed whisky distilleries and has been synonymous with high-quality Irish whisky tradition for centuries.
For this bottling, selected single malt whiskies and Irish grain whiskies are blended together. The malts are first matured in ex-bourbon casks made from American white oak and in Oloroso sherry casks, allowing them to develop their classic structure with notes of vanilla, malt and fruit. The whisky is then finished in Caribbean rum casks that have previously held rum from the Caribbean for at least seven years. This cask maturation gives the Irish Whiskey with Rum Cask Finish a particularly smooth texture and an additional aromatic dimension with tropical and sweet nuances.
