Bruichladdich Bere Barley 2008 is based on Bere, an old race of barley. Discoveries of this ancient barley date back to the Neolithic and were made on Orkney which nowadays belongs to Scotland. With this special type of grain, Bruichladdich Bere Barley was produced in early 2008 and therefore presents a highly elegant character. The Single Malt shimmers straw yellow in the glass and offers a scent full of notes of apples, oak, vanilla, honey and lemon peel. On the palate, the whisky shows its sweeter side with the aroma of apricots, peaches, vanilla, brown sugar and honey. The finish is sweet, mild and floral all the while leaving a beautiful mouth feel that you don’t want to fade away.
