Amidst the wild beauty of Islay, the rough seas and the winds of the Hebrides, Bowmore has been handcrafted since 1779.
In the legendary “No. 1 Vault”, the old stone vault on the edge of Loch Indaal, the magical character of Islay and centuries-old traditions come together to create a single malt whisky with complex balance, mild Islay smokiness, maritime minerality and an abundance of fresh stone fruit flavours.
This 15-year-old Bowmore Sherry Oak Cask is characterised by the maturation of lightly smoky single malts from the Islay distillery in hand-selected Oloroso sherry casks and ex-bourbon casks, followed by a final finish in Oloroso sherry casks. The design of this bottling reflects the exceptional and multi-layered nature of Bowmore’s flavour character through morphic lines. The traditional black colour of the packaging pays homage to the legendary Black Bowmore, which was distilled in 1964.
