The ALEXANDER Aqva Di Vita Amarone Cask Finish is an expressive Italian single malt whisky that has been matured in high-quality Amarone wine casks. Produced by the renowned Distilleria Bottega, this bottling combines the fine grain and wood flavours of a single malt with the fruit, depth and structure of the legendary Amarone della Valpolicella. The noble red wine cask maturation gives the whisky a full-bodied profile with a fine tannin structure and lush fruit flavour.
After the basic maturation in oak barrels, the whisky is transferred to former Amarone barrels for the final flavouring. These add intense notes of dark berries, ripe grapes and spices, which combine with the solid malt base to create an elegant, complex character. Bottled at 46% vol., this whisky is aromatically dense and harmonious at the same time – naturally unchill-filtered and natural in colour.
