Description
“Samsara”, a term meaning “rebirth”, symbolises the first bottling since the reopening of Bladnoch Distillery. This special creation is a masterful assemblage of Bladnoch single malts and combines whiskies matured for at least 8 years with some rare older malts. The maturation takes place in both first-fill ex-bourbon casks and first-fill ex-red wine casks from California. This choice of cask gives the whisky an exceptionally smooth structure and subtle wine flavours that add depth to the flavour profile.
Bottled in its natural form, the “Samsara” edition does not require chill-filtration or colouring, which preserves the authenticity and purity of the flavours. This limited edition bottling is dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the Bladnoch Distillery and is a testament to the distillery’s long tradition and dedication to whisky making.
