Balblair, the oldest distillery in the Northern Highlands of Scotland since 1790, is situated on a secluded hillside overlooking the Dornoch Firth. This historic distillery sits on an ancient Pictish meeting place, guarded by the mystical Clach Biorach stone, whose Z-bar mark adorns every bottle of Balblair. Balblair whiskies are made from the Black Isle’s finest barley and pure water, perfectly capturing the flavours of the region.
This Balblair 15 Years Old single malt was first matured in ex-bourbon casks made from American oak before being further refined by the rich influence of first-fill casks made from Spanish oak. The whisky impresses with its natural colour and is not chill-filtered, which preserves its authenticity and multi-layered complexity.
